We are at the end of the year! It seriously seems like it has been a very long year, but we are finally here. I'm working on my goals for 2019, but for now, I'm checking in, one last time.
By the end of December, 2018, I will have obtained my BCBA certification. June 2018 - done! Still feels surreal some days.
By the end of December 2018, I will have attended at least 3 conferences, including at least one, not ABA specific. I attended the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia conference in July, and San Diego in May. I didn't end up making it to another one this year, but definitely have plans for 2019.
By the end of December 2018, I will have submitted at least 2 abstracts for posters/presentations to conferences. I have submitted 1 (and presented a poster) for ABAI in May. I have contributed to one of my staff submitting a poster presentation for the annual Australian conference later in July, which kind of counts as me submitting, right? :D (Edit - September: I'm counting it!)
By the end of December 2018, I will have participated by writing responses to at least 2 questions, in regards to four journal articles. This goal really never got off the ground. I'm reworking it for 2019.
By the end of December 2018, I will have one other Program Supervisor working with me at GSBS. A lot of changes around the services I provide, and how I want to provide services in the future. Potentially another Program Supervisor/Behaviour Consultant, but will figure it all out in 2019!
By the end of December 2018, GSBS will have at least one workshop available to be delivered to the community and public. Well, we have an office to *hold* workshops, and my colleague, Alex, from ABA for Change, is coming over in January and will deliver two workshops for us, so that's a start! Hoping to work towards something in 2019!
Another year over and done! As usual, it has a been a very big year for me, and the business, and I have learned so much. 2019 will bring some changes, that will hopefully mean better services for clients, and better work/life balance for me, and of course, more learning!
Thanks for a great year!
