2019 is upon us, and there are lots of things to look forward to this year. Below are just a few of the goals I want to achieve, this year. I'll check in every 3 months, to see how I'm going.
Subscribe to the Journal for Applied Behaviour Analysis.
I know I can access it through my BACB portal, but its a bit convoluted, so I want my own subscription!
Provide a Professional Level Sponsorship for the Association for Science in Autism Treatment.
ASAT provide great resources on evidence-based autism treatments, and I want to support their work.
Reach 1000 Facebook Page 'Likes'.
1000 is a nice, even number. Currently the Facebook page is at around 950, so not far off!
Attend at least 3 conferences in 2019 (can be all ABA, or a mix).
I already have 3 (possibly 4!) planned out. VBC in Houston in March, ABAA in Melbourne in July, and ABAI International in Sweden, in September! I have also submitted a poster for the annual ABAI in Chicago in May, so we will see if we are adding that to the list!
Submit 3 abstracts for conference posters/presentations.
I have already submitted 2, with 1 hopefully 1 by the end of the month too?!
Commit to one volunteer opportunity - e.g. 1 day, 1 activity, 1 year.
I have a few ideas of things I could do (ASAT Externship, Global Autism Project, planting trees to reduce carbon emissions) but not sure which one I will do in 2019 - depends on my availability.
Read 4 articles/book and summarise in 4 separate blog posts.
I can never quite get my journal article goals off the ground, so changing it around to include either journal articles OR books. Hopefully 2019 will be the year!
Let's see how we go :D
