Goals for 2019 - March Review

March 26, 2019

March has come to an end, so time to review my goals for the year!

  1. JABA
Subscribe to the Journal for Applied Behaviour Analysis.
I have yet to purchase the subscription for myself, especially now as I have access through uni too! I still want to keep this as a goal though.

  2. Sponsor ASAT
Provide a Professional Level Sponsorship for the Association for Science in Autism Treatment.
Reviewing my goals has helped remind me of things I need to do! This is getting done in August.

  3. Facebook
    Reach 1000 Facebook Page 'Likes'.
1000 is a nice, even number. Currently the Facebook page is at 970, so a few more have joined in!

  4. Conference Attendance
Attend at least 3 conferences in 2019 (can be all ABA, or a mix).
This will be achieved! The Verbal Behaviour Conference is happening next week in Austin, Texas. ABAI in Chicago in May. ABAA in July down in Melbourne, and in September I hopefully will be on a panel at ABAI's International conference in Sweden with some colleagues, discussing the difficulties faced in disseminating ABA, around the world.

  5. Conference Abstracts
Submit 3 abstracts for conference posters/presentations.
Still sitting at 2. I didn't submit anything for the VBC conference as it would have added too much stress :D

  6. Volunteer
Commit to one volunteer opportunity - e.g. 1 day, 1 activity, 1 year.
Still tossing around the things I want to do. I have a few ideas of things I could do (ASAT Externship, Global Autism Project, planting trees to reduce carbon emissions) but not sure which one I will do in 2019 - depends on my availability.

  7. Journal/Book Club
Read 4 articles/book and summarise in 4 separate blog posts.
I have read a few journal articles with colleagues recently. I need to sit down and write some blog posts.

Not too bad. I do like checking in frequently because it reminds me what else I need to do!
